DIVERSITY

EQUITY &

INCLUSIVITY

We make it our business to
advance equity and inclusivity in our community.

Look closely at the present you are constructing, it should look like the future you dream of.

– ALICE WALKER

We are committed to ending racism by doing our own individual work and our work as a team and a business by participating in trainings, watching documentaries, films, videos, researching, reading, discussions, and self-reflection on the destructive impact of white privilege, implicit bias, the injustice of historically marginalized groups and communities, and how we unknowingly commit micro-aggressions.

We are contributing to real and meaningful change by choosing to be vulnerable and authentic, and by being accountable for creating safe spaces and environments where inclusivity, trust, empathy, and respect are the culture and the environment. We care about and will continue to show up for the people in our community who have been othered, not included, not seen, heard, or appreciated because they did not fit the social norms of the dominant culture. Most of all we’re willing to get it wrong, so we can work on getting it right.

We actively participate in anti-racism and social justice work and initiatives by:

  • Prioritizing working with people of color, LGBTQIA+, gender non-conforming, and differing abilities when we’re presented with new client opportunities, positions open up on the Wholehearted Team, and are able to engage guest collaborators.
  • Supporting the integration of formerly incarcerated individuals back into society and the workforce
  • Providing pro-bono business mentoring and life stabilization coaching to marginalized individuals working to rebuild their lives after traumatic life events
  • Financially contributing to The Insight Alliance, a local non-profit who is transforming the lives of adults and youth impacted by the carceral system by pointing them to their innate resilience and wellbeing.

WE believe in belonging

and know the undeniable beauty and brilliance that comes from working together with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, gender identities, life experiences, and perspectives.

Join us in taking the

Anti-racist Small Business Pledge

commit to building an equitable, anti-racist organization.
